Meet the Founders
Alex has been a small business entrepreneur for over 20 years. He started Indie Points after watching people queue out the door for mediocre chain coffee while excellent local cafes nearby sat empty. He realised independent businesses didn't have a product problem; they had a loyalty and communication problem. He runs the business side of Indie Points with a clear goal: helping local owners keep customers coming back.
Stuart has over 20 years of experience as a Technical Architect and software developer. He has spent his career building complex systems for large organisations and joined Indie Points to bring that same enterprise-level technology to independent businesses that typically get priced out of it. He ensures the platform is secure, scalable, and actually works when you're standing at the counter.
Independent businesses are the heart of our communities. They create jobs, build relationships, and give our neighbourhoods character. But they're competing against chains with massive marketing budgets and sophisticated customer retention systems.
Indie Points changes that. We give independent businesses the same tools the big players use, at a price that makes sense. More importantly, our cross-vendor network means customers can earn and spend points across multiple local businesses, creating a community of loyal supporters for the independent economy.
